Course Description
“In this age of relentless activity, it is easy for Christians, particularly those involved in good works, to fall into the pattern of activist. But mere activity and material results are not sufficient for a successful apostolate.” This course is based off the renowned book, “The Soul of the Apostolate” by Dom Chautard and focuses on the interior life as a foundation to for all apostolic work.

Gavin Ahern
Gavin Ahern teaches theology at Xavier College Preparatory. He is a graduate from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix . After a few years of pursuing a career in music, he was inspired by Dr. Bob Sullivan of Phoenix College to study philosophy and teach. Gavin earned a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Assumption College in Worcester Massachusetts and a Masters in Theological Studies from the Institute for Pastoral Theology at Ave Maria University. He is happily married to Valerie and they have been blessed with four boys.
